U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Mark Twain Lake

After some iterations of tactile nature exhibits were rejected I decided that a CNC routed total hands-on experience would do it. I researched indigenous species and drew this entire wall. The routed elements are three levels deep, done in perfect register and made to stand up to bus loads full of kids. I wrote the majority of copy. The large insects & animals were printed on a UV flatbed printer. It is LEED certified Silver level and meets ADA requirements for this tight space.
